About You
We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Director - Project Manager (M&E) to join our Building Services team in Singapore. The successful candidate will support the delivery of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems design and implementation for built environment projects including commercial buildings, residential developments, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure facilities.
You will assist in coordinating the technical, administrative, and contractual aspects of M&E projects, working closely with engineers, consultants, contractor, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
We’re looking for someone who loves to learn and share knowledge – someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible to:
- Lead the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects from early planning stages to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored project management solutions
- Coordinate with internal design teams (mechanical, electrical, ACMV, fire protection, plumbing, etc.) and external consultants, contractors and authorities.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, and technical submissions
- Monitor site works, track progress, and ensure M&E installation aligns with design specifications, authority requirements, and QSS/RE/RTO site feedback
- Assist in managing project budgets, cost tracking, and variation assessments
- Review technical drawings, shop drawings, and method statements and flag issues for resolution
- Manage technical risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Participate in tender evaluations, procurement coordination, and vendor/supplier management
- Liaise with statutory bodies (e.g. BCA, PUB, SP, EMA, NEA, SCDF) for submissions and approvals
Key Requirements
· Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Building Services, Architectural or Project Management
· At least 5 - 8 years experiences in an engineering consultancy or construction environment in Singapore, with a proven record in technical project management.
· Basic understanding of M&E systems, design coordination and building codes in Singapore
· Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools Strong technical problem-solving, analytical, and risk management skills.
· Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
· Organized, strong time management and communication skills, which see you enlist the help of others to meet objectives.
· Able to work independently & exercise initiative
· Good teamwork attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
