Assembly Technician (Manufacturing)

Job Description:

  • In charge of leading and directing projects and ensure they are directed towards a common objective
  • Responsible for engaging and communicating with stakeholders to deliver project milestones and comply with strict deadlines
  • In charge of ensuring client satisfaction and manage escalations, acting as single point of contact to the client
  • In charge of ensuring that the project delivers as-sold solution, remains within the baseline budget and is delivered on time whilst maintaining quality criteria and client satisfaction
  • Coordinate activities of the project teams through task delegation, resource assignment and programme management
  • Take charge of proper documentation is in order
  • Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Nitec in Electronics / Mechanical / Electrical/ Mechatronics Engineering or related field
  • Minimum with 1 year working experience in assembly of equipment / machinery industry

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand sales across existing and new customers within the company’s marine and subsea technology portfolio.
  • Implement global strategies, sales policies, and marketing initiatives within the Southeast Asia region.
  • Participate in and lead bid and tender processes, developing detailed technical and commercial proposals and presenting at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Build and manage regional sales channels, distributors, and partners to maximize market coverage.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams — including Aftermarket Services, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to ensure exceptional customer experience and project delivery.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture across the Southeast Asia and APAC sales teams.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant technical discipline (engineering, marine science, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or business development, preferably in the marine, subsea, or scientific instrumentation industry.
  • Proven track record in technical solution selling, bid management, and customer relationship development.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and executive levels.
