Job Responsibilities :

  • Research simulation training best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to support the development of research initiatives, including the Competency Framework for Incident Management in Simulation Training and Crowd Management POC.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize data from research initiatives and collaborations.
  • Manage the expansion of the Simulation Centre by coordinating with vendors and relevant teams to ensure smooth handover/takeover and renovation processes.
  • Contribute to the conceptualization and organization of a physical simulation Community of Practice (CoP).
  • Support administrative tasks for the Operations and Training Branch, such as handling requests for booking of business unit for exercises and study visits, providing administrative and logistical support during visits by local/foreign agencies
  • Take on additional appointments, duties, or projects as assigned by the Director.

Job Requirements :

  • Degree in Business Admin or any other discipline
  • Experience or interest in administrative work will be an advantage
  • Experience in research and data analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and track progress of projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical, resourceful, organised and meticulous
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Description

1. eResource Management Planning and Research

· Conduct environment scans and market research to explore international trends and developments on eResources.

2. Value chain of 3rd party commercial eResources

· Vendor and contract management to support service delivery and day-to-day operations.

· Manage eResource enquiries from NLB internal and external customers/parties.

· Collate, track, and report eResources usage.

· Support the discovery of NLB's eResources across NLB's platforms.

· Support the review and update of eResource collections.

3. Publicity and training of eResources

· Support and collaborate with NLB divisions to execute marketing and communications plans to promote and sustain public awareness and interest in the use of NLB's eResources.

· Support and facilitate training to staff on NLB’s eResources.

REPORTS TO:

Client – Land Transport Authority

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Provide supervision and inspection to ensure that the Contractor(s) comply with Authority's and agencies' requirements

• Supervise all works, permanent & temporary, including Civil and architectural works, sewerage, drainage, irrigation, commuter facilities, road works, trial trenches and utilities diversion

• Coordinate with contractor(s) and relevant agencies/site partners for the work

• Supervise fabrication of precast concrete and steel structural elements both on site & off site

• Supervise lifting operations to erect precast concrete elements

• Inspect and assist in issuance of E-Token for soil disposal

• Review & supervise safety, environmental and health matters

• Supervise installation and monitoring of instrumentation

• Verify & check quantity of work done for progress payment

• Provide other services required

• Assist in operating of Project Monitoring Control Centre (PMCC)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Min Diploma in Civil/Structural discipline or National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCCS)

• Site/work safety certifications would be an advantage

• Contractor site work experience would be an advantage

• Min 3 years of experience in road works / LTA projects / viaduct / flyover
